In the early days, we'd paint the whole "room" one color, but with time, we realized that a mix of different colors allowed us to up our game and make more dynamic and interesting mechanical suites for different settings
Now we have entire planes we can visit fully with a block or we can see little snippets back into whats going on via supplemental sets, such as with Commander
Sagas have a different template where they enter the battlefield with a lore counter and then gain an additional counter each turn
All of your opposing critters become 1/1s with a Cursed Role on them
