If both creatures are Legendary, like Brallin, Skyshark Rider and Shabraz, the Skyshark, you can still run both as your Commander like any other Partner
The finnicky nature of the Gallery definitely detracts from the overall experience, since I have no idea if my creations will be saved until after I exit away from them (in which case theyre gone for good if they didnt save)
